Terms of Service

You must be at least 13 years old to use Rooted. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement. Users between 13 and 17 must have parental or guardian consent.

When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Promptly update your information if it changes
• Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

Rooted provides a suite of spiritual growth tools including:

• SpiritScript — AI-powered sermon transcription and archiving
• BibleWell — Scripture reading, cross-referencing, and annotation
• SoulNotes — Spiritual journaling and reflection tracking
• DevoDesk — Personalized devotional study plans using the OIA method
• Bible Playzone — Interactive scripture-based games and challenges
• Upper Room — Community prayer wall and intercession groups

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

Rooted offers both free and premium subscription tiers. Premium subscriptions are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to their respective payment terms.

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
• Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period — no partial refunds
• Prices may change with reasonable advance notice to subscribers
• All payments are handled by Apple or Google — Rooted does not collect payment information directly

You retain ownership of all content you create within Rooted (journal entries, sermon notes, prayer requests, etc.). By submitting content, you grant Plexodev LLC a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and display your content solely for providing the Service to you.

You represent that your content:

• Does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights
• Does not contain unlawful, harmful, or offensive material
• Does not violate any applicable law or regulation
• Is not false, misleading, or deceptive

You agree to use Rooted only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Transmit unsolicited communications or spam
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
• Upload content that is hateful, harassing, violent, or sexually explicit

The Rooted application, including its design, features, content, and underlying technology, is owned by Plexodev LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. The "Rooted" name, logo, and all related marks are trademarks of Plexodev LLC.

Nothing in these Terms grants you the right to use Plexodev LLC's trademarks, logos, or other proprietary information without our prior written consent.

Your use of Rooted is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

Rooted uses AI technologies to power features including personalized devotionals, sermon analysis, and study assistance. Important considerations:

• AI-generated content is for spiritual enrichment and should not replace pastoral counsel, professional advice, or authoritative biblical scholarship
• AI responses may occasionally be inaccurate — always verify important theological matters with trusted sources
• Your inputs to AI features may be processed by third-party AI providers (e.g., OpenAI) under our data processing agreements
• We do not use your personal AI inputs to train public models

Rooted integrates with third-party services such as Bible APIs, cloud infrastructure, and analytics providers. These third-party services have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PLEXODEV LLC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Rooted is a spiritual growth tool, not a licensed religious counseling service. Content within the app does not constitute professional pastoral, theological, psychological, or legal advice.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PLEXODEV LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration, not in court. You waive the right to participate in any class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

Arbitration will be conducted under the American Arbitration Association (AAA) Consumer Arbitration Rules. Small claims court actions for qualifying disputes are exempt from this requirement.

Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we determine you have violated these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon termination:

• Your right to use the Service immediately ceases
• We will process your data as described in our Privacy Policy
• Provisions intended to survive termination (IP, disclaimers, arbitration) remain in effect

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will provide notice of material changes via in-app notification or email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
